Baby Massage Classes
A group of parents and their little ones come together to learn the art of baby massage over a 5 week course, with classes lasting approximately 90 minutes once a week. All the strokes are thought, parents are provided with a manual of strokes so they can practice at home and a bottle of oil. The classes are thought in a warm comfortable environment to ensure optimum comfort for parent and baby. Incorporated into each of the baby massage classes is a short talk on different elements of child development such as play, developmental milestones, social emotional development, sensory and reflex integration and simple play ideas on how to encourage development of these skills at home. There is also time for tea, cake, and chats among the group.
Helen is fantastic at putting both mothers and babies at ease in her classes. She is a wealth of information and has provided me with really useful, practical and easy to implement tips. This class is about much more than baby massage and I am thrilled I signed up for it." Rita and Lewis (6months).
I would highly recommended Kilkenny Occupational Therapy. Helen is a lady, very friendly, holds a very relaxing engaging session. My little man loved the class and I enjoyed meeting up with the other mammies and bonding with my little man. Helen also gives great tips and you will leave with something new every week. Cups of tea & cake at the end of each class is a lovely treat too." Lucy.
I couldn’t recommend Helen Hoyne’s baby massage classes highly enough. Myself and my baby really enjoyed the 5 week course. It was a lovely bonding experience with my baby and taught me valuable baby message techniques that I continually use at home now. My baby has found the massages both comforting and enjoyable and it’s great to know all the various techniques I can use to help relieve the symptoms of teething, colic and head colds, etc. when they occur. I learnt so much from Helen, not just about baby massage but gained a lot from her knowledge in areas such as baby development milestones and reflexes etc. I liked the social element of the classes too, mixing with the other mothers in the class and chatting to them over tea and scones afterwards." Jane.
Loved the 5 weeks of these classes. I found it a great way to spend quality time with baby. Learning all the little massage techniques and what their uses were. I looked forward to the class every week and felt it was a little bit of "time out and relax" in a lovely comfortable setting. Loved having the coffee and scones and a chat with all the mammies too." Claire.
My little boy and I attended baby massage with Helen and we both absolutely loved it. Helen is so knowledgeable and creates a lovely relaxing atmosphere for the class. My little boy loved meeting all the other babies each week and it was such a lovely way for us to bond without day-to-day distractions. The post-class coffee, treats and chats with the other mothers were great for sharing information and getting advice. We will definitely be back." Clare.
