Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy Intervention involves the use of the horse to help children develop social, emotional, cognitive, sensory and motor skills. The overall goal is to increase the child’s independence in activities of daily living.
Equine assisted occupational therapy intervention follows the same process as traditional OT intervention. A thorough OT ASSESSMENT is completed, GOALS are set, INTERVENTION begins. Intervention is completed outdoors in a secure sand arena instead of in the traditional clinic setting. #equineassitedoccupationaltherapy #paediatricoccupationaltherapy #onlineoccupationaltherapy #childdevelopment #infantdevelopment #grossmotorskills #finemotorskills #sensoryprocessing #sensoryintegration
